Discord ANSI Color Guide: How to Send Colorful Formatted Messages
Banish Monochrome Text: Bring Color to Discord
All announcements in your server look exactly the samea wall of black and white text. Members ignore standard announcements because they don't pop out. Bold text and blockquotes help, but they lack color. Fortunately, Discord supports ANSI escape codes inside code blocks, allowing you to highlight text in red, green, yellow, blue, and more.
Our Discord Colored Text Generator handles the escape sequences automatically so you can copy and paste colored text in seconds.
The Anatomy of an ANSI Escape Sequence
ANSI formatting works inside a code block flagged with ansi. The escape code template is [FORMATTING;BACKGROUND;FOREGROUNDm (preceded by the ESC character):
```ansi
[1;31mBold Red Text[0m
[0;32mNormal Green Text[0m
```
